This is a story about a hungry tree sparrow eating its daily breakfast, courtesy of the grumpy old lady who has a soft spot for birds. It takes in more than it can swallow, the excess seeds falling out carelessly out of its mouth- times are hard, you see. Along comes a peaceful dove, and the little tree sparrow flees the scene, probably because it wants to give peace a chance, making a mental note to wake up a little earlier tomorrow.
Things are not what they used to be; it isn't easy to find worms lying around in the city anymore, but as long as the old lady remains grumpy, there will be seeds to look forward to.
